Exploring phenomenons

Something that many artists do is explore phenomenons. for example, drawing something from observation is just like exploring a phenomenon. Everything is a phenomenon. For example If I was to drawing my morning cup of green tea, the cup in its self is a phenomenon and by me drawing it, I am exploring it and transforming it. I am not only drawing it from observation but I am transforming it into something new when I put my pencil to the paper.

The same technique could be applied to painting a landscape, where you’re exploring a different phenomenon. A painting doesn’t always have to make a statement about something, it can just be painting something from observation and exploring it, painting something beautiful and transforming it.Image
