Last year I went to the Summer exhibition at the RA (Royal Academy). The RA is one my all time favorite places to go to see new art, but I no idea what to expect from the summer exhibition as I had never been before. I remember walking into the first room, I just got through the doors and away from all the hustle and bustle of busy London streets, into the comforting presence of beautiful and wonderful art. I think there is something quite unique about being In a room full of art, you feel like their is a presence of something greater than yourself. The art surrounding me struck me with awe as I realized I was witnessing one of the most diverse fine art shows in the world. I wonder if anyone else sees it the same way i do. It was honestly one of the most inspiring experiences I’ve ever had. That is the power of art galleries I suppose, not the same as just seeing it online.
When we combine many creations into one, we create something new and exciting and inspiring. I don’t think it would’ve been the same If I saw the Art separately, but just having such an awesome collection in the same room creates a whole new atmosphere. I guess I’ve just summed up my love for Art galleries in a few paragraphs.
